Vaggelis Tsagarakis

Director and Director of Photography.

I'm Vaggelis Tsagarakis. I studied directing at IEK Chaidari and have been working since 2015, based in Athens and shooting all over Greece.

I am a co-founder of Mastermind Productions, the vidcast and podcast studio in Kolonos.

I started with a simple Nikon camera, as a hobby. The hobby became a job, and today I work with Blackmagic and Lumix cinema cameras.

I have made video clips, commercials, hotel films, documentaries and short films. I put love and dedication into every job, from the first idea to the final result. I set limits, and my limits are the highest standards there are.

In 2019 I directed the short film SPEAK, which earned 7 nominations at film festivals.

I was the cinematographer on Froso, a short film that was selected for 12 festivals and won 4 awards.

• Best Short Film, Kosice International Film Festival, Slovakia
• Best Director, Direct Monthly Online Film Festival, USA
• Best Short Film, Uruvatti International Film Festival, India
• Best Actress, Athens Marathon International Film Festival, Greece
